Fifa FAN FESTIVAL
Atlanta didn’t market a Fan Festival for soccer fans.
It invited the city’s own communities to host the world.
“NO MATTER WHERE YOU’RE FROM, IN GEORGIA YOU’RE FAMILY.”

THE COMMUNITY BECOMES THE PROGRAMME
Rather than applying a layer of local culture to an international event, local culture became the event.
Hundreds of performers, DJs, presenters, artists and community groups brought Atlanta’s creative landscape to the stage alongside international talent. Hip-hop, R&B, Amapiano, electronic music, samba, opera, marching bands, circus, football and grassroots programming existed side by side.

ONE HOME, MANY ROOMS
We designed Centennial Olympic Park as a home rather than a fan zone. The entrance and main stage show Atlanta’s big-city ambition, with architectural scale, skyline-inspired structures and programming with global reach.
Go deeper into the park and the scale softens into small-town intimacy. Neighbourhood hubs, street-born football experiences and murals made with local artists were shaped by the people who live here.
Spectacle for the world, belonging for Atlanta, in one park half a mile from the stadium.

THE PEOPLE BECOME THE BROADCAST
The same thinking shaped the media. Alongside national and international press, a four-tier credentialing model opened the festival to 719 independent creators, with dedicated access for Spanish-language and diaspora media.
Instead of relying only on traditional coverage, we handed the story to the communities closest to it. Creator coverage built momentum, momentum drew international media, and the story reached 89 countries.
The people at the festival didn’t just appear in the story. They told it.
FIFA provided the frame. Atlanta provided the energy. We brought the strategy, the story and the stage.

We didn’t add a layer of local culture to an international event. The local culture was the event.
Programming came through local curators and an open call. International names like Ludacris, Davido, Big Boi, Jermaine Dupri, Summer Walker, Killer Mike and CeeLo Green shared the stage with more than 100 Atlanta artists, DJs, makers and community organisations.
